Getting ready for our New York City debut tomorrow at Miller Theatre's Next Generation Pop-Up Concerts series tomorrow! We hope to see you there! We had a tremendous amount of fun collaborating with the students and were blown away by their performances. MARCH 22, 2012 Sending our love from Savannah, Georgia! ensemble39 has had a wonderful week here so far through sharing our music with children and youth in Savannah. We especially enjoyed our open rehearsal and time with the middle school students at the Garrison School for the Visual and Performing Arts yesterday. MARCH 19, 2012 Annnnd... we're off to Savannah, Georgia, with Project440! In partnership with Live Oak Public Libraries and the Savannah Music Festival, we are thrilled to be working with Project440 to present a series of musical learning events for children and youth across Savannah this week. MARCH 12, 2012 ensemble39 will be giving the premiere of Gabriella Smith's Children of Fire at the One Book, One Philadelphia 10th anniversary dinner on Thursday, March 15th! We're also in the process of gearing up for our work next week in Savannah, Georgia, with Project440-- check back for exciting updates. Also, thanks to all of you who came to our performances at the Curtis Composers' Chamber Concert yesterday-- it was a blast and honor to work with & premiere works by our colleagues Tim Woos and Gabriella Smith. NOVEMBER 10, 2011 We're thrilled to announce our upcoming concert Point of Origin, featuring ensemble39 in its finest, on Saturday, December 10th, at 7:00 PM! We'll be performing at AxD Gallery (256 S. 10th Street), with works by Gabriella Smith, Prokofiev, and Reich. See events for more details, and check out that awesome flier to the right! There will be a reception following the concert. Also upcoming is the Curtis Composers' Chamber Concert on Monday, December 5th, at 8:00 PM. We'll be performing new works by Gabriella Smith and Tim Woos at the Curtis Institute of Music. SEPTEMBER 25, 2011 ensemble39 was excited to be featured this afternoon in the Curtis Institute of Music's annual Jimmy Brent concert, performing works by Ludwig, Prokofiev, Meyer, and Gliere. AUGUST 25, 2011 After a busy summer of music-making, ensemble39 is revamping its website-- please stay tuned for details on our performances in and around Philadelphia in fall 2011! Some of the places & festivals at which our members performed this summer included (deep breath so we can say this all in one sentence): Atlantic Music Festival, Steans Institute at Ravinia, the Verbier Festival, Marlboro, Music from Angelfire, the Perlman Music Program Chamber Music Workshop, and Curtis on Tour 2011 in Europe (Exhale!
